Home sales fall in Loudoun County

Loudoun County was the only county in Northern Virginia where housing sales fell in October.

Sources claim total sales in Loudoun last month fell 6 percent compared to a year ago.

Alexandria saw the biggest jump, with sales up 34 percent.

Arlington County remains Northern Virginia’s most expensive county for housing, with last month’s median selling price at $530,000, up 6 percent from a year ago. Sales in Arlington County were up 16 percent.

Prince William County remains the least expensive housing market in Northern Virginia, with a median price in October of $300,000, up 13 percent from a year ago. The increase is the biggest year-over-year gain in prices in Northern Virginia.
