New Year’s Eve Options!

New Year’s Eve can be a quiet evening in with the family or a rousing time out with friends or your sweetie!  However you choose to celebrate, we at The E4Realty Group hope you have a fun and safe New Year!

The following are some excellent options in DC and Loudoun County and always remember to make it home safely!

DC Options

Holiday Masquerade and Open House  The D.C. Commission on the Arts and Humanities encourages masquerade attire for this party with music, performances and refreshments. There will be a Creative Mask Contest. New and unwrapped art supplies, toys, clothes and certificates to arts programs will be accepted by the D.C. New Year’s Eve Dinner Cruise An adults-only cruise on the Potomac River aboard a glass-walled ship includes dinner, monument views, live entertainment, a champagne toast, open bar packages and a dessert table. Boards at 8 p.m., cruise 9 p.m.-12:30 a.m., dockside until 1 866-306-2469. From $209.90.

New Year’s Eve Masquerade Ball Chris Bukowski of ABC’s “The Bachelorette” and “Bachelor Pad” hosts a Capitol Hill party with DJs, an open bar, appetizers, complimentary masks and TV screens showing the ball drop in Times Square. 9 p.m.-3 a.m. Hyatt Regency on Capitol Hill, 400 New Jersey Ave. NW. 571-238-5297. Passport to the World Gala: An International Red Carpet Affair Professionals in the City hosts this gala with bands, magicians, caricaturists, dance lessons, food and drinks. More than 3,000 attendees are expected. Wristbands will be color-coded for singles and couples. 9 p.m.-2 a.m. Capital Hilton, 1001 16th Street NW. $139. Some $99 tickets will be available after 10:30 p.m. (open bar, but no food). Other discounts offered for groups.

Kennedy Center Grand Foyer Party The D.C. swing band the Tom Cunningham Orchestra and soul-R&B singer Lady perform at this party complete with a balloon drop at midnight for ticket holders to evening performances (6 p.m. or later) or Roof Terrace Restaurant diners (your receipt is your entry ticket). Choose from “Shear Madness” (6 and 9 p.m., $50), “Flashdance the Musical” (7:30 p.m., from $86), “Elf the Musical” (8 p.m., from $60), and “New Year’s Eve at the Kennedy Center: Ray, Motown, and Beyond” with Ellis Hall (8:30 p.m., from $50). 10:30 p.m.-1 a.m. Kennedy Center, Grand Foyer, 2700 F St. NW. 202-467-4600.

Loudoun County Options

Salamander Resort & Spa in Middleburg is ringing in the New Year with a variety of events for adults and families. Indulge in some Champagne & Caviar at the Gold Cup Wine Bar and then head over to Harriman’s for a special New Year’s Eve dinner. Afterward enjoy a Great Gatsby themed party complete with jazz band, dancing, party favors, a sparkling wine toast at midnight, and an After Midnight Munchies buffet during the resort’s Party Time at Gold Cup Wine Bar.  Relax and enjoy the festivities knowing the kids will be entertained at the resort’s Kid’s Night Out: New Year’s Eve Bash 2013.

Looking to get all dressed up for the holiday? Head over to the Holiday Inn Washington Dulles as they host their annual New Year’s Eve Masquerade Party. The hotel is offering a variety of overnight packages that can include dinner for two, entrance to the party, drink tickets, a photo of you and your date, breakfast, a late checkout on New Year’s Day, and more.

The Fabulous Dialtones will be setting a festive tone for the celebration at Lansdowne Resort in Leesburg. Party goers can enjoy music and dancing, an open bar, champagne toast at midnight, and late night fare.
