In my experience, having lived just outside the Haymarket City Limits for almost 4 years, I would say there are lots of things! Â One is the quaint old fashion feel of the town. Â You can’t help but fall in love with Haymarket the first time you drive down the Main Street. Â It is literally a one stop light town that is struggling to stay that way.
The area has become more than just a “bedroom community” for a commute to D.C. Â It is a growing area that includes an ever growing number of beautiful new homes. Â It has one of the best schools in Northern Virginia. Â Battlefield High School serves much of Gainesville and all of Haymarket.
At Battlefield High, students have the opportunity to take Advanced Placement® course work and exams. The AP® participation rate at Battlefield High is 65 percent. The student body makeup is 52 percent male and 48 percent female, and the total minority enrollment is 48 percent. Battlefield High is 1 of 10 high schools in the Prince William County Public School System.
